Yesterday's Jeans

Yesterday’s Jeans Presents: Wishful Thinking
I know my last wishful thinking involved all that glitters but what can I say… I love to sparkle! This ELIE SAAB blazer is fabulous. My inspiration today was this piece and nothing else.
I:
I would wear this look almost anywhere, the jumpsuit says pre-wedding event (bridal shower, bachelorette party… whatever) so I guess I would wear it then.
Jumpsuit: alice+olivia, Shoes: Christian Louboutin, Purse: Chloe, Necklace: Monsoon
II:
Who could resist this little feather number. It screams “look at me” and “life of the party!!” all while being chic and approachable.
Dress: Stretsis, Shoes: Burak Uyan, Purse: Monsoon, Necklace: Chanel, Tights: Wolford

Yesterday’s Jeans Presents: Wishful Thinking

I know it’s wrong but this season I’m majorly craving fur. I’m not ready to commit to a full coat in this amazing fabric so I chose to add this Fendi coat to my dream wardrobe. (Bonus: It’s cashmere!) I think this coat is perfect for both work and play, I styled looks I would incorporate the coat into for both.

After Work:

Looking at this coat I instantly think of the 60s and Jackie O. She was a definite inspiration in the pieces I chose initially. I think she would’ve looked fabulous in this dress and totally work appropriate. One of the things I love about Jackie O’s style is how she tied accessories into her looks, that’s why I had to choose the matching fur hat. To put a little me in the mix, I added these mismatched shoes and gloves.

Dress: Dorothy Perkins, Hat: Top Shop, Gloves: Paul Smith, Boots: Jeffrey Campbell

After Party:

This look was inspired by the daughters of the women who emulated Jackie O and her amazing style. I imagined what I would wear if I’d grown up in those times and borrowed my mom’s coat. I love the sparkle of this sequined dress and the cohesive contrast of the deep red velvet and the navy cashmere.

Dress: French Connection, Shoes: Top Shop, Purse: All Saints

Yesterday’s Jeans: Celeb Post of the Day!

What do you think of this Lanvin Cover All? Gemma Arterton wore hers with hair slicked back and round toed pumps, while Sandra Bullock chose to wear hers with loose locks and strappy sandals. Who do you think wore it better?

I chose Sandra Bullock. Her ankle length pants make this look effortless and clean.

Outfit Overlap: Rainbow Bright

It was boiling out today!! I couldn’t be bothered to wear any of my skin tight summer clothes so I borrowed this adorable rainbow tank from my boyfriend’s closet. (He bought it for Halloween… it’s a long story).

Shirt: American Apparel, Shorts (DIY): Old Navy, Brogues: Forever21

Yesterday’s Jeans: Celeb Post of the Day!

This Giambattista Valli dress and cape is so amazing! Both these ladies look fantastic, the question isn’t who wore it better it’s where can I get this and which color to choose!

But for the sake of consistency, who do you think wore it better, Charlotte Casiraghi or Sarah Jessica Parker?

Yesterday’s Jeans Presents: Wishful Thinking

The red of this Gucci Dress is irresistable! I know right away that I had to have it in my newest Wishful Thinking post. This dress screams relaxed Sunday in the city. I would wear the first look out for brunch then the second for dinner and drinks that evening.

Brunch:

Clutch - modcloth.com, Silk Scarf - Betsey Johnson, Brogue Platforms - Jeffrey Campbell

Dinner:

Ring - Dannijo, Clutch - Alexander McQueen, Leather Wedges - Charlotte Olympia

Yesterday’s Jeans: Celeb Post of the Day!

This Top Shop cover all is a great piece for summer. Both Saoirse Ronan and Rochelle Wiseman wore is (though in two different colors), who do you think pulled it off best?
